Our Range of Lab Water Purification Systems

Borosil Scientific offers Type 1, Type 1 + 2, Type 2 and Type 3 systems. Key lab water purification systems include:

Model Water Grade Resistivity Flow Rate Application
OmniaPure XS Type 1 18.2 MΩ·cm Up to 2L/min dispensing Ultrapure water
OmniaTap xs Touch 8 Type 1 + 2 18.2 / 10–15 MΩ·cm Type 2: 8 LPH Pure/ultrapure water
OmniaLabED/ ED+ Type 1 + 2 18.2 / 1–10 MΩ·cm Type 2: 20/40 LPH Analysis/equipment feed

Ultrapure (Type 1) Water Systems

An ultrapure water system for laboratory applications delivers Type 1 water at 18.2 MΩ·cm. Depending on configuration, TOC reaches below 10, 5 or 2 ppb, while UF options reduce endotoxins, RNase, DNase and proteases.

Selected Type 1 ultrapure water system configurations combine RO, EDI or mixed-bed treatment where applicable, 185/254 nm UV, ultrafiltration and point-of-use filtration. This ultrapure water purification system supports analytical and life science workflows.

Type 2 Pure Water and DI Water Systems

Pure water Type 2 supports autoclaves, washers, media preparation and Type 1 systems. OmniaTap xs provides 10–15 MΩ·cm water, while OmniaLab ED+ uses self-regenerating EDI, reducing conventional resin regeneration. A DI water system for lab or DI water purification systems can support routine and ultrapure requirements.

Storage, Dispensing and Consumables

Supporting options include:

  • Storage Tanks: 7, 10, 30 and 60-litre storage tanks in OmniaLab with and without EDI.
  • Flexible Dispensing: OptiFill and additional dispensing options support water access.
  • Replacement Components: Cartridges, UV lamps and consumables support operation.
  • Point-Of-Use Filters: Selected configurations support sterile filtration and ultrafiltration.

These options support dispensing, consumables and lab water filter requirements.

Find the Right Water Grade for Your Application

Choose the grade for your water purification lab according to the application. Systems meet relevant ASTM D1193, ISO 3696 and CLSI CLRW requirements.

Analytical and QC Labs

Common requirements include:

  • HPLC/UHPLC and IC: Type 1 ultrapure water.
  • ICP-MS and GC-MS: Type 1 water.
  • TOC and PFAS Testing: Low-TOC Type 1 configurations.

The grade should match the method and instrument.

Life Science and Molecular Biology Labs

Sensitive applications include:

  • Molecular Applications: PCR, electrophoresis, blotting and sequencing require suitable Type 1 water.
  • Cell and Tissue Culture: UF configurations support nuclease and endotoxin removal.

The right configuration supports sensitive workflows.

Pharma and Clinical Labs

Typical requirements include:

  • Pharmaceutical Testing: Type 1 water supports reagent preparation and dissolution testing.
  • Clinical Applications: Type 1 or Type 2 water can support clinical analysers based on instrument requirements.

Select the grade according to instrument requirements.

General Lab and Instrument Feed

Routine applications include:

  • Equipment Feed: Type 2 water supports autoclaves, washers and water baths.
  • Glassware Rinsing: Pure water supports routine rinsing.

Type 2 systems support everyday laboratory requirements.

How We Size and Specify Your System

Before recommending a water purification system for the lab, Borosil Scientific assesses:

  1. Feed Water Assessment: Review TDS, conductivity and municipal or borewell source.
  2. Consumption Assessment: Calculate daily volume and peak needs, with 30% headroom.
  3. Grade and Configuration: Match water grade and system to applications.
  4. Site Planning: Assess bench, wall or under-bench placement.

This helps specify the right lab water purification system in India.
